Boutique Workplace collabs with
Unite Students on affordable Aldgate workspace

NEWS / 12 JUNE 2024

Flex operator, The Boutique Workplace Company has announced a new partnership with Unite Students to create affordable workspace at 16 – 18 Middlesex Street, Aldgate. The agreement secures over 10,000 square feet of office space within Unite Students' 24-storey mixed-use development on the edge of the City. This marks The Boutique Workplace Company's fourth opening in 2024, bringing its total to 40 locations as of May.

Slated to open in Autumn, with its own dedicated entrance, Boutique’s workspace will no doubt elevate Unite Students’ site, which already features 920 purpose-built homes for students, an exhibition area, a cinema room, study rooms and stylish common areas. Now, forming part of the Boutique Collection, 10,300 sq ft of workspace is coming to the ground, first, second and third floors.

Keeping suit with their high spec fitouts, Boutique’s new build will complement the landlord's new development prominently located on the corner of Middlesex Street and St. Botolph Street in Aldgate. The site will boast fully furnished private offices, breakout spaces and meeting rooms, benefiting from excellent natural light and high ceilings. Plus, key amenities will include phone booths, showers, bike racks, lockers, and a dog-friendly policy.

Piers Barttelot, Director at Reesa, expressed his support for the partnership: "This is my third transaction with Boutique since 2020 as I continue to assist them in their growth plans across London and beyond. More now than ever, landlords continue to embrace joint ventures with operators due to the demand of flexibility and high-quality office space full of amenities that occupiers command. The Boutique Workplace company comes with the expertise and experience for this well-known provider of student accommodation”.

Daniel Wheble, CEO of The Boutique Workplace Company, added: “We're really pleased to be part of a partnership with Unite Students offering much-needed affordable workspace on the edge of the City in 16 – 18 Middlesex Street. This is far beyond a box-ticking exercise for us – this is premium space finished to a high standard and will offer plenty of natural light and great amenities. As with all Boutique Workplace Company locations, we’ve worked with the character of the established building, playing to its heritage and location, whilst always offering high-quality, fully flexible workspaces.”

Meanwhile, The Boutique Workplace Company has recently opened doors to new locations at 24 Lime Street in the heart of the City of London, 9 George Square in Glasgow, and 32 Threadneedle Street in the City.
