New Month, New Job:
September's Flex Appointments

NEWS / 05 SEPTEMBER 2024

We don’t know about you but we’re still caught up in the buzz of the Flexi-OfficeHub switch up. Now, as summer comes to a close and September officially starts, a new month has brought a wave of exciting new appointments. Below, we roundup some of the latest leaders climbing the flex ladder.

CBRE has just appointed Ashleigh Corbett as its new Head of Flex for Scotland. With a decade of experience in sales and operations roles for leading flex operators such as Flexspace, IWG, and Orega, Ashleigh is set to lead CBRE’s expansion in Scotland. Reflecting on her new role, Ashleigh said, “Joining CBRE at an exciting period of growth, I’m really looking forward to expanding our flex advisory services in Scotland. The demand for flex space has undoubtedly surged over the past five years, and the Scottish market presents an exceptional opportunity to broaden and enhance its offerings.”

Savills' flexible office division has strengthened its team with the addition of Mia Boughen as Associate. Mia, who brings a diverse background including roles at Instant Offices, PwC Tax, and most recently, One Avenue Group, where she was the youngest commercial manager, will focus on landlord advisory in her new position at Workthere. This appointment follows Savills' recent acquisition of Situu, which added 10 new members to its workforce. Meanwhile, after four and a half years in London, Piers Mallitte is moving into a new role as Head of Workthere Asia-Pac.

What's more, flex operator Hubflow has poached Breezblock’s Sales and Acquisitions Director, Michael Knapp, who has exited after 3 years to become Sales Director at Hubflow.

Additionally, there’s been movements in the broker world. Office Freedom welcomes four newbies, including new Account Director Glen Giles, who joins off the back of an impressive six-year tenure at The Instant Group. Simultaneously, The Instant Group's Chief Marketing Officer, John Williams, has announced his departure after a remarkable 10 years with the company: “It has been an amazing journey and I am very grateful to have met and learned from extraordinary colleagues in a brilliant sector”.

In other broker news, Jack Embleton is striding into September in his newly promoted role as Head of Sales at Officio, having been with the company for 7 whole years. “We have an amazing team in place to push boundaries and become a leading force in flex consulting” Jack confidently stated. He shares this success with his colleague Laura Collins, who has similarly just stepped into her new role as Officio’s Head of Operations.

Finally, Office Ready Tech (ORT) has announced a significant leadership shift, with Jack Kelly stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer. The tech firm, which has experienced over 150% growth year-on-year since its founding in 2020, also named Steffan Whiteley as their new Chief Technology Officer. Jack, who brings nearly 20 years of experience in the sector, previously played pivotal roles at Myo and GPE, and joined ORT in early 2024 as Director of Business Development and Strategic Initiatives.

As the flexible workspace industry continues to evolve, these strategic appointments signal a continued commitment to innovation and growth across the sector.
