Work.Life are pioneering Pride
initiatives this June

LIFE / 14 JUNE 2024

“You know, we're a sucker for a rainbow flag, but it's important that our efforts surpass the rainbow merch here and a ‘yas queen’ there.”

Well, this Pride month, Work.Life is truly putting their money where their mouth is, launching impactful initiatives that extend far beyond the display of vibrant colourful flags. We aren't fans of pride-washing. From their second-year running Pride Panel, to their meaningful partnerships with LGBTQIA+ organisations and queer-owned brands, this operator is setting a new benchmark for inclusivity and support.

This June, Work.Life has collaborated with Switchboard UK, the national LGBTQIA+ support line who have supported over 4 million people across the UK over the last 50 years! Work.Life are encouraging their members to join the fundraising mission through purchasing Pride-themed merch. Think pronoun badges, pride-themed laptop stickers and multicolour fans. Plus, the flex operator has also donated their window space to Switchboard, for vinyl banners to raise extra awareness.

Not to mention, Work.Life are dedicating their Soho location to the Switchboard team on the day of London Pride (29th June) as an ‘open house’. This gives the team a safe and comfortable base for the march to get ready and refuel. In fact, this June, all Work.life members are fuelling up on the infamous pizza and beer Thursdays, with the help of queer-owned companies. Proud Beer UK and Luv Jus Drinks are supplying all the beverages.

Finally, in a bid to mark Pride Month with meaningful dialogue, Work.Life is hosting a Pride panel on June 26th at their Soho location- Wednesday, 26 June "Can I still be queer, here?"

Reflecting on the strides made in LGBTQIA+ workplace inclusion over the past year, the event features an impressive lineup of speakers. Guests will hear from the likes of Liv Fromm, a senior DEI program manager at Hubspot; Paff Evara, an impressive web3 founder, Max Siegel, otherwise known as "Career Queer,"and Maxine Heron, a trans+ advocate and model promoting trans+ visibility in beauty and fashion.

We’re in awe of how this operator has created a safe space for candid conversations that actively promote the voices and experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals. To join these inspiring leaders for a meaningful dialogue on fostering LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the workplace, register via our events page.
